The Arrested Lawyers Initiative (TALI) a Brussels-based rights group consists of lawyers making advocacy to ensure lawyers and human rights defenders perform their duty without fear of intimidation, reprisal and judicial harassment. TALI is a member of the International Observatory for Lawyers.
Since its launch in 2016, TALI has been dynamically engaged in human rights advocacy, achieving significant milestones. Our endeavors include:
a) Collaboration and coordination with esteemed organizations such as CCBE, the IBAHRI, Lawyers Rights Watch Canada, the Italian Human Rights Federation, the Law Society of England and Wales, the Spanish Bar Association, Lawyers for Lawyers, and the Norway Helsinki Committee. These collaboration and coordination have been instrumental in amplifying our collective impact on human rights issues globally.
b) The publication of joint reports, a testament to our collaborative efforts and shared vision for human rights advocacy. These include impactful works produced in conjunction with the Italian National Bar Association (CNF), the International Observatory for Lawyers, and the Italian Human Rights Federation. These publications have significantly contributed to the discourse on human rights and have been pivotal in advancing our cause.
c) However, it should be noted that these collaboration and coordination are not formal continious partnerships, rather case-based cooperation for similar causes.
Furthermore, TALI and London Advocacy share a synergistic partnership, characterized by frequent collaboration. This alliance has been fruitful in implementing joint projects, conducting human rights advocacy actions, and engaging in various other initiatives. Our mutual commitment to human rights causes has fostered a strong and effective partnership, enabling us to undertake concerted efforts in this vital field.
